No. VoltGuard is hardware-only. There is no app to install, no Bluetooth to connect, no account to create, and no subscription. Plug it in and it works.

VoltGuard only cuts at 100%. It does not reconnect automatically. If your battery drops while sleeping, the device will not re-charge until you unplug and replug. Most users do not notice any difference in morning battery level.
